Jogging Stroller Safety Tips

Strollers offer a wonderful and convenient service to parents and caregivers.
The first priority in choosing a stroller should be safety.

To prevent tipping, choose a stroller that has a wide base so even when your child leans over there is no chance of the stroller tipping.

If you purchase a stroller that includes a recliner position check the stroller to make sure the stroller does not fall over backwards when the child reclines.

Remember to use the stroller seat belt at all times.

If your stroller has a basket, use that for purses and bags rather than hanging these items over the handles.
The basket on your stroller should be placed over the rear tires.

To prevent accidental folding of the stroller always use the locking device.
The brakes are used to limit the rotation of the tires when the stroller is at a complete stop.

Make sure you do not accidentally pinch your child's fingers when folding or unfolding your stroller. Be conscience of where those little hands are at all times.

If you are using a jogging stroller make sure you use the safety strap that fits around your wrist.

This can help prevent the stroller from getting away from you.

When you are in a parking lot make sure that the stroller is always next to you while unlocking the car.
Put the child into their car seat before storing the stroller.

Before you cross the street, position the stroller completely out of the street and make sure you are safely on the curb.

Check your stroller to make sure it is completely opened and in the locked position before putting your child in it.
A good habit to get into is pushing down on the seat with your hand to make sure it safe for your child.

When stopping on a hill, always remember to set the brakes on your stroller, even if you are just stopping for a moment.

Scrap Tire Pyrolysis Residue Upgraded by CBp Europe Patented Technology Shows Cost Reduction Potentials for Replacing or Blending with Carbon Black

Independent tests by Akron Rubber Development Laboratory confirms that the generic CBp process successfully upgrades raw pyro-carbon residue (char) into cost-competitive grades of black reinforcing fillers that can be reused in rubber manufacturing for replacing or blending with carbon blacks and as an asphalt modifier. The reinforcing properties are related to the quality of the raw heterogenous pyro-char.However, in every case the tensile properties were always better than N-900 series carbon blacks. On CBp controlled runs tensile strengths exceeded N-600 carbon blacks in tests by BFGoodrich and Metso Minerals. The patented CBp technology was introduced at the Carbon Black 1996 World Conference "A Black Filler for Rubber Prepared from Tire Pyrolysis Char" by William Klingensmith and Michael Beck of Polymer Valley Chemical Inc as an economical solution necessary to commercialise pyrolysis of scrap rubber. Reinforcement qualities were presented equivalant to carbon blacks with particle...

ETV Corporations VisiTyre Battery-less Tire Pressure Monitoring System and NHTSA Legislation are Hot Topics at SAE 2005 in Detroit

Sydney, Australia (ContentDesk) June 3, 2005 -- As one of the few interactive displays at this years SAE World Congress and the only TPMS technology company in attendance, VisiTyre drew a continuous stream of industry delegates to their Australian Trade Delegation booth, where a real time demonstration system highlighted the system's ability to immediately report pressures and temperatures of all four wheels plus the spare continuously from the moment of ignition, whether the tires were stationary or rotating. "The VisiTyre Inductive Coupling Technology provides a real solution for many of the contentious safety issues of the Final Rule of the TREAD ACT '' commented Phil Cohen, ETV's Chief Technical Officer, "TPMS disablement by tire replacement is just not an issue with VisiTyre technology, it is inherently transparent to all replacement tires regardless of ferrous or carbon content".VisiTyre utilises electromagnetic inductive coupling to create a ?power in - data out' non contact communication...

When Your Car Doesn?t Feel Right

Okay, something's wrong with your car. You know it. It just doesn't "feel" right. That may sound lame when you're talking to your mechanic, but believe me, it's not something you want to ignore.Maybe you feel like the car is difficult to handle. Maybe the ride just seems less smooth and stable.

Perhaps there's a vibration that wasn't there before. These symptoms almost always indicate a problem. Is it harder to steer your vehicle? Do you have difficulty steering in a straight line? This might mean your front wheels are misaligned or you have worn steering parts.Does your car feel like it wants to steer or pull to the right or left? You'll need to get this checked out. It may only be that your tires aren't properly inflated. But it could also mean that your front end is misaligned or damaged in some way. That's nothing to play around with!Maybe your car feels like it's vibrating. Your tires may need balancing in this case. It's a good idea to check your shock absorbers and struts...

Saving Money At The Pump

Gas prices are higher than ever, so you're likely to see more advertising for "gas-saving" products. Yes, we want to improve on fuel efficiency, but are these products really helping? Or are they just taking an extra bite out of our already shrinking car budget? The truth is, you should be suspicious of any gas-saving claims for certain devices or oil and gas additives. Even for the few gas-saving products that have been found to work, the savings have been miniscule. You'll see all sorts of claims and testimonies. "This gas-saving product improves fuel economy by 20 percent." Yeah, yeah.

Actually, the EPA has tested over 100 of these supposed gas saving doo-hickies, and none of them were found to do the job well. Some of the products can even damage your car. So much for cost savings! Please be skeptical of advertising claims for gas saving devices. Here's another quote you might read. "This gas-saving device is approved by the Federal government." Actually, no government agency...

Give Your Web Site a Small Business Marketing Tune Up

Your web site is like your car. Both are significant investments that require the right features and regular and proper maintenance to ensure maximal satisfaction and performance. Your car is a finely tuned machine. You bought it not only to get you from point A to point B but also perhaps to have some fun and look good as you go. If you purchased your car new its engine had no wear.

To keep it running like the day you bought it you maintain it regularly: you change the oil every 3000 miles, you inspect its belts and hoses, you check its fluids and rotate its tires (or at least you should). Without such attention the money you spent on your car will eventually seem like a mistake as it sits idly in your garage because it won't start. Your investment in your web site deserves the same care you give your car. While the purpose of your car is to get you from place to place, the purpose of your web site is to help you develop new business and become more successful. It doesn't matter...

Copyright 2006 David Maillie

Nationwide the results are showing an increase in accidents across the board.
There is a marked increase in DUI's and numerous other night time accidents.
According to the Institute for Highway and Traffic Safety, many of these accidents are avoidable or at least their severity greatly reduced.
For the purpose of this article we consulted the safety experts of the state police and firefighters of several states and specifically asked them what worked best.
Below are their recommendations and tips for improving driver safety and reducing the incidence or probability of an accident.

Their first tip was to increase the following distance.

Aggressive driving and following too close can easily result in a rear end collision, especially at night when vision is reduced and reaction time is slowed.
A good rule of thumb is to allow at least one car length of distance between cars for each...

Louisiana Bankruptcy Lawyers

Although the laws of the state of Louisiana are different from the laws of the other states, bankruptcy is one area where there are more similarities than differences. This is because bankruptcy relief is under federal law, so the information in this context is pretty much the same in all the states.

But there is one glaring exception. It is about exemptions, the items that you do not lose by declaring yourself bankrupt. Under Louisiana Bankruptcy Law, the exempted items include...
